Key features and review of the Philips 160

Philips 160 is a simple and basic mobile phone with monochrome and monophonic features. The phone is measuring 47.5 x 103 x 18.7 mm and weighs 84g. It is lightweight and feeling comfortable to hold. The phone is powered by a Li-ion 720 mAh standard battery, which has capacity to work up to 400 hours in standby mode and talk time up to 6 hours.

The phone is equipped with STN Monochrome display screen but its blue backlight making the phone smarter. It has excellent numeric keypad that has well placed keys making the phone easier to dial. To control various menu options it has a dedicated four-way navigation button centered below the display.

Philips 160 supports for Dual-band GSM 900/GSM 1800. It does not support any connectivity for data transfer, no GPRS, no Blue tooth and no Infrared. Other features of the phone are WAP, SMS, EMS, Monophonic ring tones, vibration alert, you can assigned your ring tones to phonebook entries, Clock, Alarm, T9, Calculator, Calendar, call records, Currency converter and phonebook. The unique feature of this phone is that it has 4 MB of internal memory, which is generally not available in this category of phones.

Overall, the Philips 160 is a great camera and very useful for first time user.
