Key features and review of the Eten M500

The Eten M500 is a combination of Phone and Pocket PC. It provides wireless connectivity that fits the needs of modern, mobile lifestyles. Supporting Bluetooth and GSM/GPRS, it also has a full set of business applications and a user-friendly interface to keep you connected. The Eten M500 is very heavy and too big handset with size at 61 x 112 x 22 and weighs 170g.

Eten M500 is equipped with a huge 3 inch (320 x 240) touch screen TFT color display. The 1.3 mega pixel built-in camera is also a high-end feature for a phone, capable of shooting stills at up to 1280 x 960 resolutions. There are ready-made capture settings for MMS video and Contact Photos, and you can also capture video at resolutions up to 240 by 320 pixels. To play MP3 songs and videos it has MPlayer 10.

For better network connectivity Eten M500 supports for Quad-band GSM 850/ GSM 900/ GSM 1800/ GSM 1900 MHz and GPRS. To runs all the features of the phone it has Samsung S3C 2440 400 MHz Processor. The Phone comes with 64 MB of built-in memory, which is sufficient to store huge data. If 64 MB is less for you the M500 also comes with an SD and MMC expansion slot located under its battery.

Powered by a Li-Ion 1440 mAh standard battery the Eten M500 offers various other features that includes; SMS, MMS, Vibration alert, Polyphonic ring tones, MP3, Calendar, Games, Photo Album, Alarm, calculator, scheduler and phonebook where you can store 500 records.

Although, Eten has the most beautiful design in PDAs, but there are some downsides; there's no built-in Wi-Fi, but battery life is impressive and it comes with a good software bundle.
