Key features and review of the BenQ P50

Looks like PDA the BenQ P50 is new mobile cum PDA launched by BenQ to attract working professionals. It is very heavy and too big handset with size at 60 x 122 x20 and weighs 170g. It comes with TFT Touchscreen, 65K colors display with a huge 320 x 240 resolution, for a mobile phone it is an excellent resolution. The most notable feature of BenQ P50 is of course the way in which it expands from an ordinary mobile phone with a numeric keypad to a full-fledged messaging device with a QWERTY keyboard.

It has excellent 1.3 mega pixel camera that has the capacity to shoot both images and videos at a resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels. BenQ P50 is not only a phone, it has lots of advance features such as; you can surf internet, write a note and send it to your family and friends as a email, listen music and watch the videos with built-in MP3/MPEG-4 player.

For network connectivity it supports four-band GSM 850 / GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900 MHz and GPRS as well as WAP 2.0, JAVA MIDP 2.0 and offers various features including WiFi, 64-channels polyphonic ringtones, Vibration alert, Phonebook, Photocall, Call records, Bluetooth, Infrared and USB interface, SMS, MMS, Downloadbale wallpapers, screensavers, Handwriting recognition, Office applications, Photo Album, Built-in handsfree, Voice command and Games. It is equipped with 64 MB of internal memory to store plenty of ringtones, wallpapers, videos etc. If 64 MB is less for you, the BenQ P50 also comes with an SD/ MMC expansion slot to add extra memory card upto 1GB.

The phone is powered by a standard 1240 mAh Li-Ion battery with an expected stand by of 120 hours and a talk time of 4 hours, and takes 105 minutes to full charge.

Overall, the BenQ P50 is great phone and price is also for the functions you get. The only downside is the power consumption, which is very high.
