Key features and review of the Alcatel One Touch C550

Recently introduced the Alcatel One Touch C550 is a simple to use mobile phone that offers all the basic features of a cell phone including camera. It is very light and comfortable to hold, it weighs only 85g and dimensions 102.5 x 44 x 15.5 mm. One Touch C550 comes with CSTN 65K colors display with resolution of 128 x 160 pixels, which is sufficient resolution for small phone. And also it has in-built images and animations.

Just below the display we found numeric keypad that has good placed keys, with the comfortable five-way joystick button centered below the display to easy dial and access the menu. It supports dual-band GSM 900/GSM 1800 MHz as well as GPRS, and a range of applications such as WAP, Email, Java MIDP 2.0, 16-channels polyphony, SMS, MMS, Games, T9, Calculator, Calendar and spacious phonebook where one can store upto 500 records. It also comes with a 0.3 mega pixel camera that can captures still images upto 640 x 480 resolution, which is ideal for email and other web based applications. For storage it comes with 4 MB of built-in memory.

It is powered by a 720 Li-Ion mAh standard batteries that have capacity to work up to 320 hours in standby mode and talk time up to 6 hours 30 min.

Overall, the Alcatel One Touch C550 is a great mobile phone in mid-range segment, but, a liitle bit costly.
