Key features and review of the Alcatel One Touch 557

Resemble to One Touch 556, recently introduced the Alcatel One Touch 557 is a user-friendly and stylish mobile phone. Its size is 48 x 107 x 21 mm and weighs 93g, it has a good feel in the hand, and the good shaped plastic body and styled highlights give it an attractive and nice look. It supports tri-band (GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900 MHz). It comes with 65K CSTN colors display with the resolution of 128 x 160 pixels, which is a standard resolution for this category of mobile phones. Just below the display we found a nice and comfortable to press numeric keypad.

Like previous model the One Touch 557 also equipped with a 0.3-mega-pixel camera supports that allows to captures images upto 640 x 480 pixels and when it comes to storage it offers 2 MB of built-in memory, which is dynamically shared between images and J2ME applications.

Alcatel One Touch 557 supports GPRS, WAP and a range of applications such as SMS, EMS, MMS, Java, 30 Polyphonic ring tones, Photo call, Video player, T9, SyncML, Organizer, Calculator, Voice memo, Voice dial and phonebook where you can store upto 500 records.

The phone is powered by a rechargeable 800 mAh Lithium-ion battery 800 mAh, which allows for a talk time of 7 hours along with a stand by of 285 hours as company claimed.

Alcatel One Touch 557 is really a great phone at a very reasonable price, the images are clear, great memory, resolution, video player is excellent, the only bad thing is that it is a little bit big, but is a great phone, with infrared you can send and receive everything!
