Key features and review of the Alcatel One Touch 512

Small and lightweight the Alcatel One Touch 512 is a smart and user-friendly mobile phone. The most beautiful feature of this camera that attracts me is its cool white-blue backlight. Like predecessor it also measures 42 x 97 x 20 mm and weighs 75g only. It comes with Monochrome graphic display with resolution of 64 x 96 pixels, which is not very high but is normal for small phone like this. With blue backlight it looks stunning. It has nice numeric keypad that is made of plastic and comfortable to press, but impossible to see through their dim light. We also found a two-way navigation buttons centered below the display.

Along with 30 Polyphonic ring tones the Alcatel One Touch 512 offers various beautiful features that includes composer, Vibration, SMS, Clock, Alarm, Games (Killer Expo, Run Run Run, Eyes&Stars), T9, Voice memo, Voice dial and Phonebook where one can store upto 250 records.

Alcatel One Touch 512 is powered by a 600 mAh rechargeable Lithium-ion that will work up to 280 hours in standby mode and 6 hrs in talk time mode. Even about it's low volume One Touch 512 is a great mobile phone. But there are some negative points which may be disappoint you:

* You cannot send SMS messages, once your SIM card is full; this stupid phone insists on saving all unsent messages on the sim card, even though there is abundant space in the phone memory. So, you may have to delete messages before sending a new one.

* Inefficient use of screen space.
* Poor arrangement of commands (pressing the OK button, continuously, when reading a text, could easily, accidentally delete your message.
* Poor name-search feature; only searches with the first letter of a name
* During calls and text composing, blacks out abruptly and wipes away your messages and data.

This phone is just great. We love the polyphonic melodies that almost make you feel like dancing, plus all the other great features, and a long lasting battery power. It is available in two stunning colors; Gold and Platinum.
