Key features and review of the Alcatel One Touch 500

Alcatel One Touch 500 is a simple to use dual band (GSM 900/GSM 1800 MHz) mobile phones that was introduced in 2000 by Alcatel. It is a heavy handset at 103g but its dimensions will appeal, measuring 103 x 42 x 23 mm. It comes with Monochrome graphic display with resolution of 64 x 96 pixels, which is not very high but is normal for small phone like this. There are nice LEDs, which notifies users of new messages, active network up to and missed calls. Just below the display screen we found plastic keypad that has good placed keys with four-way joystick buttons to control menus.

It offers various features such as SMS, Monophonic ring tones, Vibration alert, Clock, Alarm, built-in dictionary (T9), Voice memo (60 sec), Voice recognition, Organizer, built-in hands free and a spacious Phonebook where one can store upto 1000 records.

Powered by a 720 mAh Lithium-ion rechargeable battery Alcatel One Touch 500 is ergonomically comfortable and is great to use. But the only things is don't have games and infra-red. But the standby last very long and the size is damn small. So, overall is a good phone. It is available in five colors.
